This is a lovely quirky book for young children. It is labelled as suitable for children aged 4 to 8, but I think younger and slightly older kids (and lots of adults!) would also love it.
Of course, if you give a cat a cupcake, he'll ask for some sprinkles to go with it. When you give him the sprinkles, he might spill some on the floor. Cleaning up will make him hot, so you'll give him a bathing suit... and so the cascade of wonderful silliness goes on!
The illustrations (by Felicia Bond) are just wonderful.
This is from the series that began with If You Give A Mouse A Cookie which has delighted parents and children since it was published in 1985.
